Mac appSqueeze, and it gets smaller
Images, video and PDFs, made dramatically smaller without looking worse. Drop in a folder and it tells you what every file will become before it starts: 84.6 MB becomes about 2.4 MB, a 97% saving, and pressing Optimize turns the estimates into real numbers. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account, because the work is done by the same chips that render your screen. If compressing would make a file bigger, it keeps your original and says so.

iPhone appNachoBill, and the bill divides itself
Somebody photographs the bill. NachoBill reads it on the phone, shows you what it read so you can repair it, then turns every line into a card you flick onto a person. When the pile is empty each share is on screen, and the shares add up to the total printed on the paper. It reads 26 languages and every currency, with no account and nothing uploaded. It does not work out who owes whom, on purpose: it answers the two questions it can answer honestly.

iPhone and Mac app/Cue, and your script is always in sight
A teleprompter that lights one word at a time at the pace you set, so you can look at the camera instead of hunting for your place. Paste a script, pick a speed between 80 and 180 words a minute, and press Play. On a Mac the overlay is a notch-shaped panel above the menu bar that can sit in any of nine positions; on iPhone it runs across the top of the screen and carries on in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen. It holds a beat longer after a full stop than after a comma, dims the lines around the one you are on, and mirrors the whole overlay for teleprompter glass. It does not listen to you: the pace is a clock you set, not speech recognition, which is why it works with the microphone off and never mishears a word.
