Buying /Cue buys you a licence to use it, not ownership of it. That licence is Apple's standard End User Licence Agreement, which every app on the App Store is sold under unless the developer files its own, and which we have not replaced: the standard EULA is here.

Use it, for anything, including commercial work. Nothing /Cue produces is watermarked with our name, nothing it produces owes us a credit, and there is no separate licence to buy for using it at work.

What the licence does not extend to:

• Redistributing the app, as a copy, a repackage, or inside another product.
• Taking it apart to rebuild it, beyond what Singapore law allows you to do regardless of what this page says.
• Using the /Cue name, icon or mark for your own product, or in a way that suggests we made or endorsed something we did not. Writing about the app, reviewing it, or telling people you use it is not that, and needs no permission from us.

What you write or paste into /Cue is yours, and it is yours in the strongest sense available: the app does not keep it. A script lives in memory while the app is open and is gone when you close it. There is no document store, no history and no draft folder, so there is nothing of yours for us to claim a licence over even if we wanted one.

We claim no licence over any of it. Not to use it, not to store it, not to train anything on it. This is not a promise we have to keep carefully, which is the point: there is no server to keep it on.

/Cue bundles no third-party code, so there is nothing to reproduce here. It is written in Swift against the frameworks already in the operating system, which are licensed to you by Apple rather than by us, and it contains no analytics, advertising or vendor SDKs of any kind.

The same fact from the other direction is in the /Cue privacy policy: a bundled SDK is the usual way an app that promises to collect nothing ends up collecting something.
